| The son of the Late Robert L. Marshall, Sr. and Clementine Marshall Carter he was born on February 9, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the oldest of five siblings. He received his early education in the public schools of Baltimore. In July 1974 at the age of 19, Bishop Marshall received salvation and the baptism of the Holy Ghost under the ministry of Pastor Gladys Hairston of Bible Revival Deliverance Church. As a member of the Bible Revival Deliverance Church he served diligently for two years and was elevated to the position of Deacon. Bishop Marshall worked in that capacity until he accepted the call to preach and was licensed in 1980. Bishop Marshall not only received the call to preach the Word, but he also received a thirst or knowledge of the Word; which began his extensive training. In 1984 he began his formal training with Dr. Lawrence Christian, where he completed his Associates work. In 1988 Bishop Marshall came under the Pastor’s Watch care of Dr. James Nelson of the Bethlehem Temple Church until his move to South Carolina in 1989. After his move to South Carolina he joined Iron Hill Highway Church of Christ where he served as assistant pastor, and was later recognized as the National Evangelist of the Highway Church of Christ. Bishop Marshall continued his education in the Carolinas under the tutelage of the Rev. Dr. Lyndon D. Purifoy and received his Bachelors’ Degree from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in May 1999. In his quest to satisfy his thirst for knowledge, Bishop Marshall continued his studies under the direction of Dr. Michael Cameron and received a Master Degree in Biblical Studies on September 10, 2006. In 2000 Bishop Marshall being obedient to God, stepped out on faith and founded Bethlehem Refuge Deliverance Ministries in Conway, South Carolina where he serves as the senior pastor. He also serves as a host on the daily gospel ministry radio program “Let’s Talk Bible” on WPJS. Bishop Marshall is recognized at an adjunct professor with Dr. Evelyn McClendon at the Zion Bible Institute of Bucksport, South Carolina. Bishop Marshall’s ministry also includes his family, a lovely wife, Florence Marshall and three children, and four grand children. Bishop Marshall is recognized in the Ecclesiastical Community as a faithful minister of the Gospel, a loyal brother of the church and a committed disciple of the Lord, Jesus Christ. |
